# RAMSELE connections, parts and wire cutting guide

Revision I - 12 September 2026. Companion to RAMSELE_Control_Wiring_Rev_I.pdf.

Pin assignments are checked against manufacturer documentation. **All loose-wire cuts are initial estimates for the repacked layout, not measured final CAD routes.** This revision uses the accepted Rev I side connector positions. The circuit, selected electrical BOM and all cut allowances are unchanged from Rev H. The existing IKEA shade ring now clamps the smooth cap, and the pickup is held by one removable internal printed cartridge.

**Assembly is unresolved:** the cartridge turn through the fixed PSU frame is blocked in the tested routes. Resolve its empty-part insertion/removal route before final assembly or wiring; the sequence below is proposed only.

## Power architecture

The LAS610 E26 pickup stays in one removable internal printed cartridge, with independent rotation and 9.0 mm nominal internal float after the cartridge is seated. The original IKEA shade ring clamps the smooth cap shoulder; there are no printed mounting threads. Two outer shroud pieces plus the cartridge form the printed assembly, without screws, inserts or added external attachment hardware. Factory feed through JE supplies the normal Govee bulb and the HLK AC input in parallel. The approximately 9 W bulb is a separate mains load, not part of the HLK's 10 W DC output budget.

Owned cap-mounted HLK-10M12 +Vo/-Vo -> J12 -> carrier node N12 +12 V/GND. N12 supplies TMC VM/GND and DD4012SA I/Vi plus GND. Fixed 5 V buck O/Vo and GND -> J5 -> XIAO 5V/VBUS and GND. XIAO 3V3 -> TMC VIO. All LV grounds are the same isolated return. C1 positive connects N12+; striped negative connects GND.

C1 is remote bulk storage on the current opposite-side cradle. Its estimated 115 mm leads are not local high-frequency decoupling; keep the TMC module onboard decoupling in place. Supply 0.83 A is not a motor phase-current setting. The actual motor rating remains unknown. The 5 V load consumes approximately 5 x I5 / efficiency watts from the 12 V output, leaving the remainder of 10 W for driver/motor. DD catalog efficiency is 76-90%; confirm actual load and temperature. The bulb wattage limit does not increase the DC converter capacity. [3-5]

## Power connection endpoints

## Controller pin map

The diagram is logical, not a connector-facing orientation. Match the actual Seeed pads and standard BTT module labels; do not substitute the EZ pinout.

| ID | XIAO | TMC |
|---|---|---|
| C01 | D0 / GPIO0 | STEP |
| C02 | D1 / GPIO1 | DIR |
| C03 | D2 / GPIO2 | EN |
| C04 | D3 / GPIO21 | CS |
| C05 | D8 / GPIO19 | SPI-CLK |
| C06 | D9 / GPIO20 | MISO |
| C07 | D10 / GPIO18 | MOSI |
| C08 | 3V3 | VIO |
| C09 | GND | GND |
| C10 optional | D7 / GPIO17 | DIAG0 |

R1=10k 3V3 to EN; R2=10k 3V3 to CS; R3=10k 3V3 to HOME D4/GPIO22. Optional DIAG0 needs a separate R4=10k pull-up and open-drain configuration. EN is active LOW. Use SPI mode 3 and check the standard module SPI selection. K01 connects the driver oscillator CLK to local GND; **CLK and SPI-CLK are different pins**. Leave AIN open and D5/D6 unused. No pause switch is included. [1,2,5]

HOME uses D4/GPIO22 -> JH1 -> switch NC, and GND -> JH2 -> switch COM. NO is unused. Normal=LOW; actuated or an open harness=HIGH. Set actuation before the hard stop and debounce. This does not detect every possible wiring fault. The HOME switch mount and mechanical actuator are not implemented in the delivered CAD; the S1 reference body is unplaced. Wiring alone does not establish functioning homing. DIAG0 is telemetry, not the home switch. [1,5,6]

Motor connections M01-M04: TMC A1/A2 -> one measured coil pair, B1/B2 -> the other, through JM. Colors do not identify coil pairs. JM pin 1=A1, 2=A2, 3=B1, 4=B2 is a harness convention; adapt to the actual motor plug only after checking continuity.

The normal bulb and existing motor are retained. LAS610 factory adapter plus its mating tail are retained. The home switch reference is Omron D2F-01L; no custom PCB or extra attachment screws/inserts/zip ties are specified.

## Connector selections

One mated pair per inline connector. Installed housing fit and socket stack heights remain provisional.

| Ref | Family | Selected housings | Logical allocation |
|---|---|---|---|
| J12 | Molex Micro-Fit 3.0, 2 circuits | 43020-0201 plug + 43025-0200 receptacle | 1 = +12 V; 2 = GND |
| J5 | JST RCY red, 2 circuits | SYP-02T-1 + SYR-02T | 1 = +5 V; 2 = GND |
| JH | JST SM black, 2 circuits | SMR-02V-B + SMP-02V-BC | 1 = D4/NC; 2 = GND/COM |
| JM | Reuse motor plug; SM4 fallback | SMR-04V-B + SMP-04V-BC if replacing | 1=A1; 2=A2; 3=B1; 4=B2 |
| JX-L/R | 2 x 7-way, 2.54 mm female | Precrimp bundles + 2 x 7-pin XIAO male strips | Match actual board pad labels |
| JD-L/R | 2 x 8-way, 2.54 mm female | Precrimp bundles on standard TMC headers | Match actual module labels |

| Use | Contacts per pair | Wire fit |
|---|---|---|
| J12 | 2 x 43030-0007 female + 2 x 43031-0007 male | 22 AWG; insulation OD <=1.85 mm. [8,9] |
| J5 | 2 x SYF-001T-P0.6 + 2 x SYM-001T-P0.6 | 24 AWG; insulation OD 1.2-1.8 mm. [10] |
| JH / JM | SHF-001T-0.8BS socket + SYM-001T-P0.6 pin | JH: 2 each; JM fallback: 4 each; OD 1.2-1.8 mm. [11] |

Use socket contacts on the powered side of J12/J5. Label both ends `12 V`, `5 V`, `HOME` or `MOTOR`. Micro-Fit and RCY are different families to prevent a 12 V / 5 V swap. JX/JD use compatible 2.54 mm female precrimp bundles and printed capture; their contacts must suit the actual 22-26 AWG populated leads and pin dimensions. Use dedicated shared-rail junctions; do not assume one crimp contact accepts two wires. Precrimp pigtails avoid buying several crimp tools. Buy a few spare contacts. JM fallback requires 4 of each SM contact type; HOME requires 2 of each. Reuse the factory motor plug where practical.

## Complete loose-wire cut list

Each value is an individual conductor length before termination. Motor and home rows show the full run; make the explicit two cuts in the route column for an inline connector. Do not make two full-length runs. End allowances and service slack are already included; trim only after dry routing.

| ID | Qty | Each | AWG | Route |
|---|---:|---:|---:|---|
| P01A +/- | 2 | 90 mm | 22 | HLK output to J12 cap side; include turn/lift loop |
| P01B +/- | 2 | 50 mm | 22 | J12 carrier side to N12 distribution node |
| P02 +/- | 2 | 60 mm | 22 | N12 to TMC VM / GND |
| P03 +/- | 2 | 100 mm | 22 | N12 to buck I / GND, around motor |
| P04 +/- | 2 | 130 mm | 24 | Buck O / GND to source side of J5 |
| P05 +/- | 2 | 60 mm | 24 | J5 load side to XIAO 5V / GND |
| C01-C07 | 7 | 100 mm | 26 | STEP, DIR, EN, CS, SPI-CLK, MISO, MOSI |
| C08-C09 | 2 | 100 mm | 26 | XIAO 3V3 / GND to TMC VIO / GND |
| M01-M04 | 4 | 130 mm | 22 | Per conductor: cut 80 mm TMC->JM + 50 mm JM->motor |
| H01-H02 | 2 | 160 mm | 26 | Per conductor: cut 90 mm XIAO->JH + 70 mm JH->switch |
| K01 | 1 | 25 mm | 26 | Local TMC CLK oscillator input to GND |
| CAP +/- | 2 | 115 mm | 24 | C1 to N12 around -Y motor perimeter; remote bulk cap |
| R links | 6 | 25 mm | 26 | Two links per R1/R2/R3 if component leads cannot reach |
| C10 optional | 1 | 100 mm | 26 | DIAG0 to D7, plus 2 x 25 mm links for optional 10k |

Baseline **3.125 m single conductor** = 1.120 m of 22 AWG + 0.610 m of 24 AWG + 1.395 m of 26 AWG. Optional DIAG0 adds 0.150 m of 26 AWG: one 100 mm signal and two 25 mm R4 links. Start with about 2 m of 22 AWG, 1 m of 24 AWG and 2 m of 26 AWG across useful colors. These are individual wire lengths, not multicore cable lengths. Existing motor wire and direct resistor leads reduce new wire use. Factory JE assemblies are excluded from loose-wire totals.

Suggested labels/colors: red +12 V, orange +5 V, green 3V3, black isolated return, contrasting signal and coil colors. Labeling and continuity determine the connection; color alone is not proof.

## Route assumptions and current poses

Datum z=0 is the original rim; service split near 103 mm. HLK body 105-127 mm centered x=-7; XIAO 108-129; TMC PCB about 101.3; buck 75-93.4. C1 center x/y=-29/-10 and z 80-91.5. N12/J12 are proposed near the +X/-Y split edge, J5 near XIAO; those connector/junction positions are assumptions, not modeled terminal coordinates.

Lengths use a piecewise perimeter route plus roughly 20 mm combined end preparation and explicit slack, rounded up. The 90 mm HLK cap tail includes approximately 50 mm opening loop; the 50 mm carrier tail is separate. C1 takes approximately 115 mm to N12 around the -Y motor perimeter, replacing the unsuitable old 35 mm cut. The buck-to-XIAO wires run around the motor rather than through it. Dry-route before cutting, keep loops out of joint tracks and gear travel, and run motor wires as pairs apart from SPI. Wires never carry the cap load. No splice belongs at a repeated bending point.

## Factory E26 connection and bulb branch

The seller item 3256805285541482 identifies the LAS610 rigid plug as 37 x 26 mm. Its 200 mm and 160 mm labels refer to whole pigtail assemblies, **not exact wire-only cut lengths**. One orange half is 27 x 13.5 mm. The estimated mated body is 40 x 13.5 x 8 mm before rotation. JE is rolled 90 degrees about X and parked at (0, 23.75, 117.5); the resulting X/Y/Z reserve is 42 x 11 x 15 mm and the estimated body is 40 x 8 x 13.5 mm. Thickness and mated length are inferred. Keep factory leads intact until actual routing and service slack are checked. [12]

JE's exact identity, electrical rating and conductor order are unverified. The cap-side factory mating tail feeds two L/N junctions, each splitting to the HLK and the JAC bulb branch. JAC is the verified TE pair described below; JE itself retains its unknown rating. Disconnect JE and free the entire pickup-side tail for installation/removal so it can turn with the pickup. Open JAC for the bulb branch and J12 for the DC branch before moving the carrier farther; this resolves both paths across the service split.

## Opening and USB service

1. Remove lamp power. Keep the ring-clamped cap and pickup stationary. Support the carrier while releasing its 15-degree service joint. Unplug J12 and JAC at initial separation before moving the carrier farther. JE can remain connected for this stationary-cap service only.
2. Open J5 and unplug both XIAO socket bundles, including all signals, VIO and GND. J5 alone does not isolate I/O.
3. Program the standalone XIAO by USB, with USB-C, BOOT and RESET accessible.
4. Remove USB before reinstalling the controller bundles, reconnecting power harnesses, closing the shell and restoring lamp power.

Before movement, verify buck 5 V output, coil pairs, SPI readback, EN reset state, home polarity and direction. Use conservative motor current while confirming homing and travel. Motion loads and enclosed temperatures in both orientations are physical checks, not established by this document.

## JAC bulb branch and extra wire cuts

JAC is a separate two-pole TE Micro MATE-N-LOK inline connector. Use **794617-2** receptacle on the cap-side source, with two **794610-1** socket contacts. Use **794616-2** free-hanging plug on the bulb side, with two **1-794612-0** pin contacts. The 1-794617-2 housing is twelve-pole and is not the selected part. Logical pin 1=L, pin 2=N. Label both halves BULB AC. [13-16]

TE specifies 250 VAC for these housings/contacts and 5 A maximum for the contacts. This is an electrically rated selection for the 120 V bulb branch, distinct from the LV connectors. Use only with lamp power disconnected during service. The selected 22 AWG wire is Alpha 5855 stranded PTFE, 600 V, nominal OD 1.295 mm with +/-0.127 mm tolerance, within the contacts' 0.89-1.52 mm insulation range. [13-17]

Keep the L/N branch junctions on the cap with U1. The existing JE mating-tail conductors each feed a three-way branch junction: its incoming conductor, one lead to the HLK AC input, and one lead to JAC. These are soldered wire junctions retained on the cap; no added attachment screws or custom PCB is needed. Bulb-side JAC wires follow the perimeter down to the existing bulb feed. Preserve usable factory wire and identify L/N by continuity, not the seller colors.

| ID | Qty | Initial cut each | From | To |
|---|---:|---:|---|---|
| AC01 L/N | 2 | 100 mm | Cap branch junctions | HLK AC L/N |
| AC02 L/N | 2 | 80 mm | Cap branch junctions | JAC source pins 1/2 |
| AC03 L/N | 2 | 220 mm | JAC bulb-side pins 1/2 | Existing bulb-feed leads near rim |

These additional six cuts total **0.800 m of 22 AWG Alpha 5855**. Use separate appropriately rated wire stock for them; the LV wire stock may be a different type. All proposed loose-wire cuts now total **3.925 m**: 3.125 m LV plus 0.800 m AC. Optional DIAG0 adds 0.150 m. Buy about 1 m of the AC wire across black/white or brown/blue; factory JE lengths remain separate. The new cuts include end preparation and opening allowance. AC03 assumes the bulb feed is reachable near the original rim; dry-route and reuse existing leads before trimming.

Installed JAC clearance is **32 x 8 x 13 mm (X,Y,Z)** centered at **(0, 23.5, 132)**, rolled 90 degrees about X from its original 32 x 13 x 8 mm reserve. This is a conservative package allowance, not an exact mated envelope: the TE individual housing lengths are 14.04 and 16.89 mm, whose sum is 30.93 mm before their mating overlap. Latch/side projections are included in the rounded allowance. Keep space for lead exits and at least the wire's specified bend radius. JE and JAC park on +Y with a 0.5 mm vertical gap between their reserves. These retained side parking reserves are separate from the unresolved cartridge insertion route; seated-fit clearance alone does not establish assemblability. This is body-clearance evidence; real latch actuation, flexible wire storage and wire bends remain unmodeled. Mate the connectors outside their parking spaces, then stow them; verify the real release reach during dry assembly.

Opening JAC releases both bulb conductors; opening J12 releases the DC pair. For installation/removal, JE must be unplugged and its complete pickup-side tail free to turn. The pickup remains in the removable cartridge and turns independently; keep the PSU out during ring/cartridge installation or removal, as described below. The service topology is now complete. JE identity/rating and physical wire routing remain part verification items.

## Proposed OEM-ring and pickup-cartridge sequence - unresolved assembly

**The cartridge fits when seated, but its insertion/turn through the fixed PSU frame is unresolved. Both tested low-frame and high-ring routes obstruct. Do not assemble or wire until an empty-part dry fit confirms a route, or the frame/cartridge is revised.** Removing the PSU case alone does not remove this fixed-frame obstacle. Actual OEM ring dimensions and E26 seating also remain unverified. The following is the intended sequence, not a validated assembly procedure.

1. Disconnect lamp power. Leave the carrier, PSU and removable pickup cartridge out. Keep JE and JAC unplugged and unparked. Introduce the original IKEA shade ring through the empty cap service opening. The fixed frame remains present; the modeled ring route uses its R19 top-tab relief.
2. Proposed: align the smooth cap with the holder and secure the existing OEM shade ring against the cap shoulder before fitting the pickup cartridge. The original ring carries the lamp load. The cap has no printed mounting threads.
3. **Unresolved step:** introduce the pickup in its unlatched cartridge, seat E26 independently with the whole pickup-side JE lead and connector half free to turn, then align the cartridge key and latch it. The tested cartridge turns obstruct; this must be resolved first. Do not use a float stop to force electrical seating.
4. Only after insertion and seating are confirmed, install the PSU. Relax the pickup tail, mate JE outside its parking space and stow it on +Y. Preserve the factory lead assemblies until their real route and storage are checked.
5. With the ring-clamped cap and pickup stationary, fit the carrier, mate JAC outside its parking space then stow it, connect J12, and close the 15-degree service joint with loops clear of tracks.

The printed arrangement is two outer shells plus **one removable internal printed pickup cartridge**, with no screws, inserts or added external attachment hardware. The estimated maximum OEM-ring flange is OD44 mm; actual OEM dimensions are unmeasured. With the cartridge seated, the assumed OD31.5 x10 mm grip runs from z129.3-139.3 to z138.3-148.3, giving **9.0 mm nominal internal float**. The highest modeled E26 contact tip is z175.3. Actual thread engagement, seating, hand access and wire bends remain unverified. The cartridge can move independently before latching; there is no coupled pair of printed/electrical mounting threads.

JE is a disconnect, not a slip ring. Unplug it and free the entire pickup-side tail before turning E26; a disconnected connector trapped in a fixed channel can still wind up its wire. Reconnect only after all mechanical fitting/turning is complete.

Ordinary electronics service after fit is resolved keeps the ring-clamped cap, cartridge and pickup stationary; only the carrier turns15 degrees and separates. Open J12 and JAC at the initial separation. Whole-controller USB isolation follows the preceding section.

Proposed complete removal: power off; open carrier and J12/JAC; unplug JE and free its whole pickup-side tail; remove PSU; unlatch cartridge, independently unscrew E26 and withdraw the cartridge before reaching the OEM shade ring. The cartridge exit route is unresolved, so this is not a validated removal instruction.

## Rev I route allowance check

The loose-wire schedule uses accepted connector centres and unchanged board positions, but the junction points below are routing assumptions, not modeled pin coordinates. Keep L/N branch junctions near the -X end of JE, approximately (-24, 24, 116). Route AC01 around the PSU's -X end to its AC pins near x=-28.25, y=+/-3.9, z=100-105. A perimeter estimate of roughly 55-60 mm plus 20 mm end preparation and 20 mm withdrawal/bend allowance gives **100 mm per conductor**.

AC02 rises from that cap branch to the -X end of JAC: roughly 25-35 mm of routed distance, with ends and unplugging slack retained within **80 mm**. AC03 leaves the other JAC end and follows the +Y perimeter down to the original rim: roughly 150-165 mm of path plus ends and initial-opening slack fits the **220 mm** allowance. These are deliberately rounded estimates, not collision-checked swept wire solids or final measured cuts.

JE's factory leads remain intact. They are released from their parking route for pickup installation/removal, with the PSU out; stow only after the OEM ring is secure and cartridge is latched. Do not count the seller's 200/160 mm whole-assembly labels as available bare wire length. The pickup-side tail must reach the side parking position without loading its exit or being trapped by the float guides. Preserve the +X finger corridor and keep all service loops out of bayonet tracks.

## Still to confirm

Actual motor rating/coils/factory plug; HOME mechanical mount/actuator; full physical RAMSELE shade sweep; JE rating, conductor order and real mated size; board header/socket heights; inline connector placement; final wire paths and storage of untrimmed factory pigtails; measured 12 V / 5 V loads and temperatures. The document provides the complete proposed LV connection/cut plan while preserving those unresolved physical inputs.
